Head of School, Travis Aldrich

Welcome to The Peak School,

a progressive, independent college preparatory school in Frisco, Colorado in the heart of the Rocky Mountains and serving students from 6th-12th grade. At The Peak School, we seek to ignite a passion for learning; to develop students of diverse talents and backgrounds who think critically and act with integrity; and to graduate compassionate, confident, capable students who will embrace their roles as local and global citizens. We are a school that thrives on our connections with our community and our flexibility of programming to meet individual needs.

Families and students will tell you that our best feature is our 7:1 student-teacher ratio, which allows our teachers to be role models, mentors, and coaches in an individualized way for each student. Simply put, every student has a front row seat at Peak. We pride ourselves in using a progressive method of education and applying it to a liberal arts curriculum. In many ways, a Peak School education allows for a collegiate experience in high school.

Peak students are able to connect with the world around them and own their education. Signature elements of our program include: Outdoor Education, where the whole of Summit County, Colorado and beyond, is our classroom; our assessments of student progress, which are based on the learning of concepts and skills, rather than memorizing information; and providing a flexible schedule to support our student’s diverse interests and passions outside of school, including in the arts and elite athletics, especially competitive skiers and snowboarders taking advantage of our world-class mountains.

Within the pages of this website, I invite you to learn more about The Peak School. Explore our many different programs. Picture yourself as part of this vibrant learning community. Sincerely,
